Excise Verification Certificate
1. Department of Excise, Government of Goa issues Excise Verification Certificate (EVC) on receipt of either raw material or finished goods (excisable goods) to the exporting state. Once the excisable goods i.e. the raw material and the finished goods are received in Goa by the respective manufacturing unit/Importer, the concerned Excise Inspector of Goa, generates EVC in Goa Excise Management System (GEMS) by selecting the import permit from the dropdown menu. This electronically generated EVC is signed electronically by the Excise Inspector and then the same is visible for viewing to the exporting state on GEMS portal as well as on Goaonline portal.
